Comments on Best gas mileage speed?
94.5 km per hour at 2023 rpms.
Not more than 60KPH for all types, brands of cars.
the highest speed with the best gas is 95k
i heard 60 is average for most cars, once u go higher ur gas consumtion goes way up. u also burn more gas when u hit gas hit break hit gas hit break, better to keep steady pace
I was always told that 1750RPM is where an internal combustion automobile engine is most efficient (except for rotaries).
Lots of really lame answers. Except for mine. Here’s the deal, sport. Every car is different. Generally speaking though, and I mean very generally, vehicles get the most miles per gallon at somewhere around 40-50 miles per hour in whatever their high gear is. Once you start moving at over about 60 miles per hour, your mileage starts to taper off fairly rapidly, and gets progressively worse as you go faster. Below about 40 miles per hour, your vehicle will tend to spend more time in a lower gear, which makes the engine run at higher RPM, which lowers your fuel mileage as well. I have found that in my Neon, traveling between 50 and 65 miles per hour is the best range that balances fuel economy and safety. I never go more than 65 on the highway, and I try to maintain at least 50 (legally) wherever possible, which means planning my routes to avoid heavy traffic and traffic signals. Going under the speed limit on highways is dangerous, so your best bet is to travel with traffic, but don’t speed. It’s dangerous and it wastes fuel.
Generally about 55 MPH for most cars.
