Automatic gear box? Should I put the gear into neutral at traffic lights to save fuel?
With an automatic gear box, will fuel be saved by going into neutral when stopped at traffic lights or other stoppage, and then selecting Drive when ready to move off? Will doing this cause any undue wear to the gearbox or anything else?

I just always use it in Drive. Why stress yourself out moving it to neutral everytime you stop to save a tiny amount of fuel?
The automatic gearbox is designed to handle being stationary in Drive for short periods (less than five minutes), so although the engine is labouring slightly, it’s not usually a fuel problem.
However, every time you move the shift lever, you’re slowly wearing out the gearbox. It’s better for the gearbox for you to choose a gear and stick with it than moving between Drive and Neutral all the time.
Doesn’t make a difference. Your engine is dialed in to a certain idle speed, and it doesn’t care if your transmission is engaged or not. If it’s a long light and you really care, turn the key off. Your battery shouldn’t mind too much if it’s not all stop and go and it isn’t very old.
This also assumes an engine in good working order, where you don’t have to gun the gas to help it start. If it goes when you hit the key, you’re saving emissions by turning the engine off.
NO and thats one more thing you got to put the car in gear to go and peps behind you arent gonna want to wait and have you blow a light saving gas ride a bike at least you wont get honked at chezzzzzz i can go on ll abt it i will say stay off big streets and away from trucks
