Are these fuel saving claims real?

Has anyone tried these MPG Caps? They say you save 7-14% on gas and reduce emissions. I found them on
http://winwin4unglobe.mpgproduct.com/. They look good but would like some feedback.

Save your money and use it to buy gas….

As a chemical engineer, I’d say it’s certainly not stupid. Most of this kind of mpg stuff is silly, but this could actually work if it were possible to get useful amounts of catalyst actually dispersed in fuel. I have seen that concept before. Have no idea if it works.

I have no idea what they cost, but obviously they couldn’t cost more than 5 gallons of gas, or they’d be a waste of money. So if that’s correct go ahead and try them.

If you bought every gadget out there that saved you 7 to 14% and they all worked, you’d be going to the gas station to have gas pumped OUT of your tank every week and charging them 3 bucks a gallon for it! Forget it. Some products might give a tiny advantage but the cost is more than they save before they break or wear out.

Ninety percent of fuel economy is dependent on who is behind the wheel. There isn’t a magic pill to lose weight and there’s not a magic pill for fuel economy. There are plenty of websites that give plenty of tips to save fuel and reduce emmisions. Check out this website for a few ideas.

if you need a good fuel saving, power efficiency, no chemical additives…you better check http://www.khaos.ph/faqs.php..much better than those additive.

The vast majority of of these products, many of which spring onto the market when gas prices spike upward, are simply worthless. Don’t waste your money. Keep your car tuned, place an egg between your foot and the “go” pedal, keep your tires properly inflated, and you will get the BEST MPG possible.
