Nope, when something actually comes out that actually helps gas mileage noticeably, you’ll know about it! Everyone will be jumping on it, but right now, there’s just nothing out there. Everything you see now is just to get your money, you pay for it, use it, it doesn’t work but they got your $$ and that’s all they want. Don’t use any more stuff, its just a waste, save that money for actual gas. It amazes me how much garbage is out there right now claiming to give you outrageous increases in mpg’s.

For now all you can really do is keep on top of maintenance, that means everything like spark plugs, fuel filter, and air filter. Check the tire pressure too.

yes, seriously if you want to save mpg, buy a motorcycle, or if you already have a good mpg vehicle, drive slower, use your brakes earlier when coming to a stop, accelerate slower when taking off and change your air filter in your car. I read Popular Mechanics magazine and there are a lot of way to save on mpg

No, but there are a few things you can do to help increase your milage.
- check all tires pressure to proper spec
-change oil/filter regularly
-use the lighter oil 10w30 or 5w30 depend on your engine spec
-regular tune up
-air filter replacement
-remove any large and heavy item you don’t need off the vehicle (do I really need that third roll seat??)
-of course driving habit and speed limit

If there were, the auto manufacturers would use it, not supress it!
If GM or any manufacturer could make a car that got 100+ MPG they would patent and use the technology and get unbelievably rich(er). Their cars would sell so fast they couldn’t keep up with the demand. Auto makers are out to make money for themselves, not the oil companies.

full synthetic motor oil will save you gas
switching to synthetic will increase ur gas mileage 5 to 7% and 15 to 20% in the winter

go ahead and laugh
I know im right

Are you on LP Gas ?
In Australia that is the cheapest way at the moment -
The Japs are trying to fully develop hydrogen cars for the next 2 years -
Most advertised HHO systems are not fully developed , but many people are working to sort out problems in day to day running -

There are lots of scams out there, but there are many things you can do.

As suggested already, synthetic oil helps. This goes beyond just engine oil. Transmission, transfer case, and differential oil can all be switched to synthetic for noticeable gains.

A new air filter will help, but switching to a k&n, or other “performance” air filter will help a lot. All you are doing is allowing your car to breathe easier. This increases performance, but also helps with fuel economy.

Another way to help your engine breathe easier is with a new muffler. This is especially true if your muffler, or any part of the exhaust system is damaged. I’m not necessarily suggesting some loud “racing” muffler, there are many quiet, “high flow” mufflers on the market that can help you out. I drive a 2006 Chevy Cobalt. Last year I purchased a high flow exhaust from the dealer which gave me an additional 3 mpg, with very little extra noise.

Another option is narrower, harder tires. Be careful with this, as you are trading safety for economy.
