Any tips on how to save gas going to and from work?

Coast more… be more concientious of how often you go from gas to break. I only break when needed. I pay attension on the road far ahead of me and plan my peddles accordingly. Since i’ve done this i have added 1-2 mpg to my car.

you could take a bus or if its close you could ride your bike or walk there

my friend jsut installed this new canola oil thing in his truck and he uses 1/2 the gas he was before…you should look into its really neat, i think i might do it too

get a scooter.

Drive a little slower, I actually seen something on the news about that, this guy went 5 under the speed he normally goes and it increased his fuel millage by about 10-20 miles.

Empty out any unused items in your car. Less weight, less fuel burn.

Change your air filter.

Get a good fuel injector cleaner and use it often!

Always have the correct air pressure in your tires!

I did the following and my fuel bills are now 1/3 of before.
1. Carpool to work. That reduced my fuel bill in half. I have one rider who pays half the car expenses.
2. Switched my truck from Diesel to Bio diesel. That saved about 20% of my truck operating costs. also I reduced the use of this truck to weekends.
3. Use public transportation on trips over 100 miles. I recently went to NYC and back from LA and used Air force hops, Air Force Hotels, and Greyhound/Amtrak. No car was ever used. Total price for the trip was $500.00 for two.
4. Use my Baja Bug for short trips around town. I was using my F350 for errands.
