Only drive it downhill. Or park it.
Be sure your air filter is clean and clear of obstruction, your catalytic converters aren’t clogged/old, and your exhaust doesn’t have any bends in it. Keep your tires inflated to the maximum PSI. Install underdrive pulleys. Trade in the all-terrain tires for street-only tires. Keep it out of 4 wheel drive.
There are many modifications that are designed to increase performance, such as free-flowing exhaust and intake, but can really increase mileage if you keep yourself from romping on it. The less the engine has to work to get the vehicle moving, the less gas you use.
You can look into having it custom tuned. Custom tuning remaps the computer parameters and will help dramatically. It will increase your power as well. Yes. More power and less fuel. Forget those vortex air pipes too. They do not work.
From factory all cars are set generically but each car is different. I have a 6ltr V8 and from factory it had 360HP and the best I achieved was 14ltrs/100klm highway. Now I have 400HP and get 10lts/100klm highway.
