About how much more fuel efficient is a manul trans vs. automatic??

Its not. Not anymore. You cannot match the fuel efficiency of the PCM (powertrain control module) and TCM (transmission control module). They will work the trans and engine in tandom to shift the vehilces gears more efficiently than you can possibly do.

automatic, but trust me you’d get sick of shifting all the time with manual its a pain

It totally depends on the driver. An automatic could get better or worse than a stick just with different drivers. Also terrain, city, hwy, 4×4 all could make a difference.

There alot more efficient cause think about it you have all the control you choose wen to shift so say you in hills instead of the tranny hunting threw the gears you just can choose one and stay there .

haha it definately depends on the driver.. like personally, I drive a stick, and I get way worse gas milage with it, cause I drive the crap out of it usually. but even driving it properly, automatics now adays are pretty even with the standards..I don’t think it will save you much gas… so I’d just go with whatever you prefer driving

You sound like a level-headed and sensible person, what you need to do is get a sawzall and chop out holes in the front and rear floorboards and convert your car into a 100% environmentally friendly Flintstone car.
