the roads are becoming congested again with people reverting to their old wasteful habits. You would think that after that last spike in prices, people would learn to conserve before the price goes up, but apparently not.

Heard about ethos FR and ethos FR+ and found it in ebay and Amazon. The price looks expensive but if they are saving as much as they say they are – I think it is worth it.
Did you hear about Ecomate company and their product ethosFR? Are they saving 20% on fuel expenses or is it a scam?
Thanks and have a great weekend.

is there really any difference in the types of gas (gasoline)available(USA)super, medium, and regular?
some people think there is really no difference, while others think the higher (super) gas you put in your car/truck the better it will be for your vehicle, and the better milage you will get and thus save money.
any expert opinion on this?

I know most of the non modification gas saving techniques. “Drive at 55mph.” The A/C vs Window Down cooling. Drafting a 18 wheeler. Fill up during the coolest part of the day. Don’t over fill. Make sure gas cap is tight… so forth and so on. However I was thinking about cold air intake. Now I know cold air intake increases performance… but my question is does it improve gas milage at all? I know that hot air intake is suppose to. But everything I have read up on cold air all talks about improved horse power.

I’m looking into buying a Jeep Grand Cherokee but I don’t understand the difference between the 4×2 and the 4×4. Does the 4×2 only have 2-wheel drive? Is 4 wheel drive optional? How about the 4×4 – does this have 4 wheel drive running all the time or can you switch back and forth between 2 wheel and 4 wheel drive to conserve on gas?

We build cars capable of going 120+mph. Most state speed limits are no higher then 65 mph. WHY? If this Government wants to reduce are dependency on foreign oil. Limit the speeds to 55 mph on all vehicles. It’s simple and inexpensive, it will save lives, reduce auto insurance, and improve the environment. When the autos are delivered to the dealer before he delivers them to the customer the service department will plug in a handheld computer to a tamper proof connector. The mechanic inputs a code and sets the speed to that states limit. I have driven vehicles 10 years ago that have this system installed on them. I am presently driving vehicles that have the same system.
People read the Question and please use your intelligence. Also please no teanie boppers need respond.. That means anyone under the age of 23. Let me add this comment .You need government intervention because the driving public is to stupid to conserve fuel. Second no engine will burn out at 55mph a six cylinder will have an RPM of 1800. Also no speed limit signs will have to be changed because the vehicles will not go faster then 55mph. To the wise guys that figure they can reprogram the system you wont be able to period. It will be tamper proof. That means if you even attempt to change it the car will not ever start.

Why do ppl complain about gas prices and yet there are so many ppl who joyride like crazy?! They go out for stupid reasons. I understand that some ppl work far from home and thats ok but what about the rest of them? What would happen if we were forced to conserve?

I have a Dodge V10 truck and it gets lousy gas mileage so i decided to save a few cents by using wal*mart gas. It runs terrible. I switch to a major gas and it runs good . I go back to Wal*Mart and the trouble starts all over again. Is it the quality, additives or what?

Im always trying to discover ways to drive more gas friendly and i was wondering if i shifted from drive up into neutral while slowing down, for instance coming up on an upcoming red light, will it use less gas since its not in gear or will it use more gas from the actual shifting? i have an automatic suv that seems only to get 16-18 miles to the gallon when its supposed to get 18-24. Plus any gas saving techniques that i should know about?
